According to Mr. Gold, this guitar was acquired from Jeffrey Foskett
who is said to have acquired it from McGuinn.  The guitar evidently
began as a Model 360 6-string which was later converted to a 12-string.
A middle pickup was added, along with another toggle which replaced
an upper knob, making the guitar resemble a Model 370/12Byrd.  The
extra toggle is said to operate an added onboard compressor.  An old
claim that this guitar was played in The Byrds has yet to be supported
by the photographic record, and was presumably made unwittingly.
However, the guitar can be heard on various recordings by Mr. Gold.
