Never mind all the hype about the Hendrix Woodstock Strat fetching £198,000 GBP
at the 1990 Sotheby’s auction -- as if that’s still the highest price ever realized for a
historically significant celebrity guitar.  That was old news well over a decade ago.
CNN reports that the Hendrix Woodstock Strat later sold for £750,000 GBP (ca.
1993), which was the equivalent of approximately $1,300,000 USD at the time.
That’s old news, too.  Imagine what the Hendrix Woodstock Strat is worth today.
