Andrés Segovia, before he croaked

“I’ve always been inspired by Andrés Segovia.  He was in his nineties and he was still booked at Carnegie Hall.  He missed the date only because he died.   That’s what I want to do.  I don’t want to be gruesome about it, but think of the audience that could brag about that.  They could say, ‘I saw him fall right off the chair, and he was dead before he hit the floor.  And the Rickenbacker was still ringing.’”

Liner notes from the “Peace On You” reissue CD (Jan 2004)

DH:  If Roger McGuinn were told by the Lord he could sing one more song and then he must die, what song would it be?  What instrument?

ROGER:  "Turn, Turn, Turn" on the Rickenbacker 12-string (LOUD).
